Asthma Treatment Check tool

The Asthma Treatment Check tool is for patients with an Asthma diagnosis.

Configure the tool

You can activate the treatment check tool for your patient by selecting it when you send instructions.

Decide how often you recommend the patient to do a treatment check. The recommendation will be displayed in the app. However the patient can do more or less tests than recommended.

Once you’re done you can send the updated instructions to your patient. They will receive a notification and message in the app about their new instructions.

How the patient performs an asthma treatment check

To do a treatment check, the patient needs to complete the following steps:

  1. Go to the start page in the app and scroll down to the Treatment tool. If the spirometry tool is active, they may need to switch the tab back to Treatment.
  2. Tap on ‘New check’
  3. First-time users will see a guide explaining how the tool works.
  4. The spirometer will automatically connect
  5. Perform one lung test. If the patient is unhappy with the results, or make an error, they can redo the lung test.
  6. Register symptoms from the past 7 days
  7. Register any triggers that may have affected your asthma in the past 7 days and leave an optional comment
  8. If the patient has a treatment plan, the relevant recommendation will be displayed.

Once the session is completed the patient can view the treatment recommendation on the home page. The treatment recommendation is visible for one day. From the treatment tab they can also tap “My asthma” to view more in-depth results.
