Spirometry & Bronchodilator Test — Quick Guide

1. Test list (left panel)

• Displays all spirometry and bronchodilator sessions, sorted by date.

• Each card shows FEV₁ % predicted, and FEV₁/FVC for quick scanning.

• You can flag tests with a color for easy organization — flags appear directly in the list.

• To compare sessions, check up to three sessions at once and press ‘View comparison’.

2. Test view (right panel)

When you select a test card:

• The header area shows test type, date, selected trials, reference set, interpretation, and repeatability grade.

• The graph shows flow-volume curves for selected trials. Hover to inspect individual data points.

• Patient details include age, sex, height, weight, BMI, and ethnicity.

• The Summary of selected trials lists key values, % predicted, and an automatically generated interpretation. It can be copied directly by pressing the Copy button.

• The Session details table displays predicted and measured values, along with Technique and Trial status (Accepted, Failed, Best) for selected trials.

• By default, only accepted trials are shown and used in the summary.

• To view or include failed trials, tap the Trials button and select them.

• When trial selection changes, the following update automatically:

  • The Summary text

  • The Spirometry pattern (based on ATS/ERS 2021)

  • The Quality grade (if available)

• Clinics can set their default bronchodilator response calculation (ATS/ERS 2005 or 2021) in Clinic settings.

• By default the best pre- and post-test are shown and used in the summary.

• To view or include other trials, tap the Trials button and select them.
• When trial selection changes, the following update automatically:

  • Bronchodilator response (significant or not significant).

  • The Summary text
• The Quality/Repeatability grade does not update, and is always based on all tests in the pre and post session

• For all non-Swedish regions, predicted values are calculated using GLI/Quanjer (currently 2012 version).

• In Sweden, both GLI/Quanjer and Hedenström/Solymar are available.

  • The default reference set for your clinic can be selected under Clinic settings by clinic admins.

• The active reference set is always shown in the top-right corner of the test view.

• Trend view (top right) shows the patient’s results over time.

• Switch between List and Trend views anytime.

• Filter tests (top left) to show only spirometry, bronchodilator, flagged or complete tests.

• Help button opens this guide and other support resources.

1. Open the patient view and go to Spirometry.

2. Review the list on the left; use filters if needed.

3. Select a test to view full details.

4. Check the summary, pattern and reproducibility grade.

5. Adjust trial selection if necessary or compare up to three sessions.

6. Copy the summary to your notes or health record.

7. Use Trend view for longitudinal review.

• All interpretations follow ATS/ERS 2021 guidelines.

• Reference set and bronchodilator guideline defaults can be configured in Clinic settings.

• Flagging and filtering help you track which tests need review or follow-up.

• Trial selection directly affects the calculated results, interpretation, and text summary.
